Is your child struggling to score in Science Open – Ended (Booklet B)?

No matter how much you have drilled on the keywords and practice questions, your child is just not getting it. Students who cannot score in Science Open Ended often face a few issues. Typically, they

  • do not know how to apply the concepts,
  • practise but do not realise they are missing key words and terms,
  • do not know what keywords or terms to use in their answers

What our Critical Thinking in Science program covers?

For every question, we first provide answers which students typically give – your child is likely to answer that way.

We then teach them how to go about thinking and identifying what is missing or why those answers are insufficient.  By doing so, they become proficient and in turn, can identify mistakes, missing keywords, and inaccuracies in their own answers.  In each of these sessions, we will also revise the essential keywords for each topic covered.

Your child will be trained to think critically, to enhance their understanding and appreciation of topical science concepts as well as guiding them on answering techniques.

The program is available in 2 different formats

Our P6 Critical Thinking in Science program starts this March and runs weekly so that students can practise regularly thus gaining proficiency in answering the open-ended questions in Booklet B. It is timed to end before their mid-year assessments so that they are well-prepared and confident for the assessments.
