Phase 2 (Heightened Alert)

We have been receiving enquiries from worried parents w.r.t. the latest government updates on COVID19 in Singapore.

The Singapore government put Singapore on Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) on 4th May and announced additional restrictions on 14 May to tighten efforts.

Temporary Lesson Pause May 15-17

Your child’s safety and health is important to us.

As soon as additional restrictions were announced, we made the early decision to pause all lessons and temporarily close the centre over the weekend from 15th – 17th May.  This 3-day pause acts as a “fire-break“, allowing us to allay parent concerns.  Preferring to err with an over-abundance of caution, we are also using the opportunity to double-check our operational practices to ensure all necessary precautions available to us are taken and strictly enforced.

Do understand that these safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of your child and our staff. We ask that you spend a moment to speak to and remind your children about the need for social distancing and other hygiene precautions.

At this time, most students would have completed their mid year assessments.  If your child has not completed these tests, please contact us and we will try our best to make alternative arrangements to help them.

Lesson Resumption May 18 and Beyond

Since the initial announcements on 14 May, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has sent out updates announcing their adoption of stepped up measures  in schools.

Be assured that we already have all necessary operational precautions (and more) in place and have been practising them for some time.  Details of our own COVID-19 Safe Management Measures are posted on entrances at our centre locations and can also be found at https://www.myelucidation.com/about-us/covid19-guidelines/

MOE has advised that private education venues shift classes online as a default, In view of the rising Covid-19 infections (especially those involving children) to minimise the risks of community transmission.

We have been fortunate, thus far, that our children (and parents and care-givers) HAVE NOT been affected by the recent spreads but we deemed keeping our children safe to be a higher priority.

Thus, this was not a decision taken lightly but we have decided that lessons will be resumed as online classes from 18 May temporarily.

Class Details To Be Communicated Shortly

We will be disseminating details of these online sessions shortly. We will also be communicating relevant details of replacement arrangements for affected lessons in our May 15-17 lesson break at the appropriate time in June.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and ask for your patience as we fast-track the completion of our preparations of our online portal for students and parents.

We continue to monitor for changes to MOE’s directives and will update, as appropriate. We are hopeful of transitioning back to in-person lessons end May/June.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as well as for your patience in accommodating these changes.
